Development in a child do not take place in isolation, rather it is guided by some principles, some pf such principles are:

2.       Development is for the must part orderly and sequential example a child normally babbles before he talks, he sit before ho crawls before he now walks.
3.       There are individual differences in development, all children grows towards maturity but this happens In a different rate and it results to individual difference in body dimensions and abilities.
4.        All the aspects of developments are inter-related because the child develops as a unified whole.
5.       Growth in a child generally proceeds function, example the muscles must grow fully before it can become functional
6.       Human development do have critical period, in this period anything that interferes with growth of the body organ, it will result in malfunction and permanent deficiency.
